Chippenham Park is a thriving family estate with 300 years of history. Originally designed as a ‘Anglo-Dutch’ landscape comprising of lakes, canals, parkland, woodland, and formal gardens. The gardens have been restored and greatly added to over the last 30 years and have been awarded the highest 2-star rating by the Good Garden Guide and are notable in the spring for a superb showing of daffodils. The Potting Shed Tearooms in the kitchen garden is fully licensed and serves hot food, teas, coffee, and cake. Oliver Cromwell lived here, and his former home is open to the public. The city has many ancient buildings, a pleasant park which leads down to the river. Please note – The Potting Shed Tearooms at Chippenham Park is cash only.
