Experience IWM Duxford like never before at this year’s extra special Duxford Summer Air Show, commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day. On D-Day, 6th June 1944, Allied forces launched a combined naval, air and land assault on Nazi-occupied France. Codenamed Operation ‘Overlord’, the Allied landings on the Normandy beaches, marked the start of a long and costly campaign to liberate north-west Europe from German occupation. Discover IWM Duxford’s D-Day story in this 80th anniversary year and commemorate through a live-action flying display, living history groups, the museum, and static collections the stories of the people who lived and fought during the Second World War – and the significance of the events of 6th June 1944.
Price: £67.50 includes return travel by luxury coach with entrance to the air show and IWM Duxford.
