Our excursion today takes us to the city of Canterbury, the spiritual capital of England and the country’s most famous cathedral city. Canterbury was immortalised in Chaucer’s “Canterbury Tales”, which tells of the pilgrims flocking to the city to visit the shrine of Thomas Becket, who was murdered in his cathedral. There will be ample time to visit the cathedral and perhaps the Canterbury Tales (entrances not included), as well as exploring the narrow streets, ancient buildings, shops, and restaurants of the city.
Price: £27.50 includes return travel by luxury coach and free time in Canterbury.
First pickup – Halstead 7.30am. Back in Dunmow around 6.30pm.
