Our destination today is the beautiful and vibrant market town of Woodbridge.

Located on the banks of the River Deben, Woodbridge is one of the gems in Suffolk’s crown, with excellent shops, superb pubs and restaurants. The town has a history of rope making, sail making and boat building and Sir Francis Drake had his fighting ships built here. Woodbridge has a Tide Mill, one of only two in the UK and the earliest. Thursday is Market Day here in Woodbridge. The market is held in the Market Square directly adjacent to The Shire Hall and sells locally sourced produce.

PLEASE NOTE: The pick-ups for this excursion will be in reverse of the normal route, starting at Tesco’s, Great Dunmow and finishing in Halstead, so the pickups will be on the opposite side of the road to normal. At the end of the day the drop offs will start at Halstead.

FIRST PICK-UP: Tesco’s 8.30am. Arrive back in Halstead around 4.30pm.
