The festive season wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Thursford for the Christmas Spectacular, winner of the Best Christmas Experience at the Group Leisure and Travel Awards 2025.

For nearly 5 decades, Thursford has been delighting audiences with its unique blend of West End quality entertainment, featuring more than 120 singers, dancers, musicians, and speciality acts performing on a spectacular 130ft stage. From high energy dance routines to comedy, chart topping hits, and traditional carols, the show is a fast-moving celebration of the season that never fails to earn its 5-star reviews. This excursion is very popular, and tickets sell very quickly, so early booking is essential if you want to see the show. After our usual comfort stop, to try and reduce the length of the day and keep within driving regulations, we drive direct to Thursford, thus giving you the opportunity to have lunch in either the Garden Pavilion Restaurant or Barn Café and a look around the shops with decorations, unique giftware, and festive accessories, before enjoying the Christmas Spectacular.

1) As tickets have to be pre-bought by C&J Tours we politely ask that this excursion is booked and paid for by 1st September 2026.
2) The show does not finish till around 5pm meaning we will not be back in Dunmow till around 7.30pm at the earliest, please be aware this is a long day.
