Our comfort stop this morning is the historic riverside town of Woodbridge. Situated on the River Deben, Woodbridge is renowned for its iconic quayside with its beautiful Tide Mill, one of the oldest working tide mills in the country and pleasant High Street with charming architecture and a selection of independent shops. From Woodbridge we make our way to Dunwich and the well-known Flora Tea Rooms, where we enjoy an included fish and chip lunch. After lunch we enjoy a scenic drive across Dunwich Heath via Thorpeness to Aldeburgh. This seaside town has a particular charm with its unspoilt sea front where little has changed since Victorian times. Famed as the home of the composer Benjamin Britten, its music festival and the seashell sculpture The Scallop.

LUNCH MENU: Choice of cod, haddock, plaice all served with chips or a choice of ham, cheese, prawn, scampi salad. Please state your choice and any dietary requirements at time of booking. Includes bread & butter, tea & coffee and a fruit salad & ice cream dessert.

Please note: The pickups for this excursion will be in reverse of the normal route, starting in Takeley and finishing in Halstead, so the pickups will be on the opposite side of the road to normal. At the end of the day the drop offs will start at Halstead.
