Includes return travel by luxury coach, entrance to Holkham Hall and tractor trailer tour of Holkham Park.
Today we visit Holkham Hall to enjoy its treasures, the tranquil Deer Park, Lake Walks the beautiful Walled Garden, and the fascinating Holkham Stories Experience. Nestled on the North Norfolk coast, Holkham Hall is the seat of the Earl of Leicester, and is still very much a lived-in home. Noted for its Marble Hall and opulent State Rooms with paintings by the Old Masters and one of the largest collection of antiquities in the country, as well as a superb collection of original furniture, tapestries, manuscripts, and books. As you make your way around the Hall the guides will share with you the secrets and stories of Holkham’s resident’s past and present. The Stables Courtyard is home to the Courtyard Café and Gift Shop and offers a perfect spot to enjoy a bite to eat and a little retail therapy during out visit. Here you will also find The Holkham Stories Experience which tells the tales of the estate’ 400-year heritage. Learn how Holkham has changed over the years, how the Hall was built and about the Coke family’s historical past, from prosecuting Gunpowder Plotters to revolutionising agriculture. Step through the ornate Venetian gates and enjoy the Walled Garden’s tranquil atmosphere, stunning array of flowers, fruit, and vegetables as well as an impressive display of Georgian and Victorian greenhouses. Our visit today includes a tractor trailer tour of Holkham Park for a fascinating exploration of Holkham Park, discovering more about the wildlife, architecture, conservation, and farming.
