Today we enjoy a 3-course festive lunch at the Cock Horse Inn, a traditional pub on the edge of the historic village of Lavenham. This afternoon why not enjoy a stroll into what is considered by many to be Britain’s best-preserved medieval village and one of Suffolk’s most important wool towns. Medieval charm can be found at every turn, with timber-framed buildings lining the narrow streets and lanes leading up to the impressive marketplace. Not feeling that energetic, simply cross the road and take a look at the stately church of St Peter and St Paul, built by donations from rich wool traders from the area.
