This morning, we visit the historic riverside town of Woodbridge, renowned for its iconic quayside with its beautiful Tide Mill, one of the oldest working tide mills in the country and pleasant High Street with charming architecture and a selection of independent shops. A popular food and produce market can be found in the town on a Thursday. From Woodbridge we make our way to the well-known Flora Tea Rooms, where we enjoy an included fish and chip lunch. After lunch we enjoy some time in Dunwich before making our way home. It is hard to believe that Dunwich was once a thriving medieval port and on par with London as the capital of the Kingdom of East Anglia. However, the effects of storm surges and coastal erosion washed away much of the town, earned Dunwich the title of ‘lost city of England’.

LUNCH MENU: Choice of cod, haddock, plaice all served with chips or a choice of ham, cheese, prawn, scampi salad. PLEASE state your menu choice and any dietary requirements at time of booking as changes to menu choice and dietary requests cannot be made on the day. Includes bread & butter, tea & coffee and a fruit salad and ice cream dessert.

PLEASE NOTE: The pick-ups for this excursion will be in reverse of the normal route, starting in Takeley and finishing in Halstead, so the pickups will be on the opposite side of the road to normal. At the end of the day the drop offs will start at Halstead.
