Sunday: An early start with restricted pickups in order that we can comfortably make our way to Fishguard for the early afternoon ferry to Rosslare. Once across the Irish Sea we make our way to our overnight hotel on the outskirts of Wexford.
Monday: Suitably refreshed after our long day yesterday we begin our journey across Ireland to Killarney. Along the way we pause for lunch at the Blarney Woollen Mill. We aim to be at our hotel in plenty of time for you to settle in before dinner.
Tuesday: For many, today is the highlight of the tour as we drive around the famous Ring of Kerry. With traditional villages, lush countryside and some fantastic coastal scenery, this has to be one of the most spectacular circular driving routes in Ireland.
Wednesday: The morning we enjoy a jaunting car ride from the hotel, through the National Park to Lough Leane. Here we board a boat for a relaxing lake cruise, before transferring back to the hotel or the town of Killarney. A charming town, whose
streets are full of souvenir shops, craft galleries, restaurants and pubs. Be sure to visit St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Thursday: More breathtaking coastal and Irish scenery as we enjoy a day on the Dingle Peninsula. The whole area is rich in ruined fortresses and ancient burial grounds, traditional currach buildings and handicraft centres.
Friday: After breakfast we unfortunately must leave Killarney and make our way back across Ireland to our overnight hotel on the outskirts of Wexford. We break our journey with a lunch stop in Middleton, the home of Jameson whiskey.
Saturday: Leaving the hotel we make the short drive to Rosslare and the ferry back to Fishguard. With an early start we have breakfast on board the ferry. Leaving Fishguard we retrace our route from last Sunday back to Essex.
